In 1975, Mark Rongers and Greg Bires bought their first layout boats. They each bought a 'Sneakbox Wigeon' from Jack Bucko, the legendary duck hunter from the Calumet Region. These two honed their big water skills over LL Bean cork decoys on a Lake in southwest Michigan. “The Mighty Layout Boys" was formed. Recently Mark Rongers retired, the business was purchased August 2010 by S & SG/Divers down LLC. S & SG has been The Mighty Layout Boys builder for approximately the last eight years. We have been and continue to be committed to bringing high quality waterfowling boats to the market.
